personally i like the interface ALOT! the only downside is it uses MAD RAM! like 20 some odd MB when i checked. right now its using........17,312KB which is about 17MB of RAM as apposed to IE which only uses about 7MB usually...
i still like it asside from the RAM issue, what about you?

I've never used any Netscape.Never have probs with IE.17mb is quite a lot.I've only got 64mb system memory and sometimes 10-15 IE's opened.Imagine using Netscape for that.
What's wrong with IE anyway?People are complaining about lots of errors and stuff and that Netscape's much better and vice versa.I have standard IE in Windows (duh),that's why I use it,if it had Netscape,I would use that.
I don't care about how well it works,as long as it works and opens SysOpt.com!

Whatever you do, don't judge it by the RAM and CPU usage at the moment. All of the debugging code is still in the browser... which significantly increases its size and CPU usage. Also, Netscape is now under AOL and AOL adds a bunch of junk to Mozilla before sending it out (which does have the tendancy to decrease stability and performance).
I myself am still using Navigator 4.08 (the latest Navigator only release), but have installed Mozilla M17 and PR3. I too like the interface of PR3/Moz M18 (forthcoming). However, I plan on running Mozilla .9 when it is released, not a Netscape branded browser.
I really like the Gecko engine and so I may use any Gecko-based browser. Who knows. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I have had problems with both PR2 and PR3 of Netscape 6. PR2 was quite slow and I couldn't access my AOL mail and PR3 would not get past the opening splash screen when I ran it. I hope Netscape improves the final release! I'm currently using ver. 4.75 without any problems.

as far as why we don't like IE, well it's microsoft.....
but if thats not enough for you (it's close for me) theres that hey, maybe it only takes 7MB more when using it, but thats because most of it is already loaded anyway when the o/s starts! so it actually seems to (for me anyway) waste more ram than netscape, also I dislike it on general princeipal in that they tried to integrate and make it impossible to get rid of (though they didn't quite succeed).
however since netscape is part of AOL now, whom I loathe even more than MS I don't know what to do.
Have write my own I guess

V E R Y I N T E R E S T I N G I N T E R F A C E!
I recently downloaded Netscape 6 and must say it LOOKS very impressive. However, I am a strong believer that Netscape is just trying to compete with Microsofts solid platform for IE 5.5. Although my pre-conceived assumptions are not in favor of Netscapes success with the new design, it does offer a new and intuitive look at the renewed spirit of the company. My father loves it (he says it is easier to read)
does anyone else think they looked at NeoPlanet and hit CtrlP!
