Anyone have a 66 hard drive running on an abit be6 11? I have a new WD 66 7200RPM would like to install. What are the settings to use on the abit board? My board has
agp 16 meg creative banshee video
creative sb live sound
isa modem
cd rom & zip drive together on ide 2
and right now old drive on ide 1 alone.

I also have a WD hard drive in my system plugged into IDE 3. Only problem was that I had to install the drive using IDE 1 to partition and format the drive first. Then I installed the ATA66 controller software into the system and switched cable to IDE 3. Make sure you use the right cable for the ATA66 drive, It has a blue end to plug into the board mine came with the board when I bought it.
