UPC getting it's *** kicked!!

It's finally happened here in Holland,
All sorts of consumer tv programs have combined forces to attack upc chello (dutch cable internet provider).

Well it was about time, we have incredibly slow connections (below isdn) most of the time and the helpdesk really sucks ***.

Problem is upc has a monopoly position here in holland.

If anyone has had the same sort of thing anywhere else in the world please let me know what happened, and how you forced your provider to deliver what they promised.

Here in denmark, we've had almost the same problems. A company called TeleDanmark had monopoly over the phonelines, but only for a certain ammount of years before their "contract" expired.

This has caused a huge ammount of ISP's to pop up, and TeleDanmark has a hard time following them in the race for the cheaptest fastest connection.

They are being severely punished for their lazyness....
