I just picked up a copy of pc world and I saw an article on dvd+rw and -rw. I have just started to put together my system. I purchased the ecs k7s5a 735 sis motherboard, the amd athlon xp 1600(1.4) cpu and (2) 256mb pc 2100 ddr memory. I still need a cdrw but I saw the new dvd stuff and I wanted to know if it is worth it, also where do I get it? I saw dvdram on pricewatch, but I've decided against that format. If I don't get the dvd, I am thinking of the lite on cdrw.

thanks

DVD writers at the moment cost around $1000 US and they can be bought from some computer shops that sell parts like CPU's or Motherboard.

Pioneer AO3 DVD-RW (http://www.mediastore.com/cdr/product.asp?dept%5Fid=8&pf%5Fid=2000194%5F0004&parents=1) is $569 at Mediastore.com, but shop around, I've also seen it for around $480, but can't remember where right now.
