Help please!

I'm adding new memory to an existing motherboard, going from 40MB (16+16+4+4) to 160MB (64+64+16+16), all in SIMMS. The manual shows this as a valid SIMM sequence.

However, the BIOS is only recognizing 96MB (one the 64MB SIMMs is being ignored).
Problem still occurs with only the two 64MB SIMMs alone; only 64MB gets recognized; order does not make a difference.

Board: Gigabyte GA-586T2
Chip: AMD K6 (200MHz)
BIOS: upgraded to the latest version (v22) straight from Gigabyte
New DRAM: 64MB, EDO, 60 ns, 72-pin, 16X32

Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Is it the same RAM module that's always not being detected? Or is it whatever is in that particular DIMM slot is not detected?

I bet it's not ignoring a single SIMM but rather using the two 64MB ones as 32MB each. Might be a BIOS or chipset limitation. What chipset does that thing use?
