i have a old motherboard.. gigabyte TX3..and i know it can use pc66mhz ram. however am i able to install pc100mhz ram on it? i hear from some pple that it is possible. Ram is so cheap right now and i want to add more.

Yes. The RAM should be able to run at the lower bus speed.

Yep, the speeds of normal SDRAM are all backward compatible. However, take note that your motherboard might not support the newer RAM which uses 256-Mbit RAM chips. This is true especially for the boards which support Pentium II CPUs and backwards, i.e., LX board all the way back to TX, VX boards.
