How do I go about removing a Partition on a 2.1GB hard drive? I have converted it to FAT32. Can this be done without losing the data on the drive? ... Ray

hey,
the best way i found, is with partition magic. You can run it on the fly , with no data lost.

As far as I know, Partition Magic does a great job on rejoining partitions, but as for finding a freeware or shareware program that will do this, I doubt it. I was looking for a freeware program myself, but just ended up purchasing Partition Magic. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Hold on there, webfoot! I found a demo version of PartitionMagic you can prolly use for your one-time needs here (http://www.powerquest.com/freestuff/index.html) . Plus lots of other free goodies. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

Toadman: The PowerQuest demo of Partition Magic is A nonfunctioning demonstration of what the program can do. Thanks for going to all the trouble, but it looks like I'm back to buying the program. I built my last two computers and this program would be a big help in setting up the hard drives. It will also setup the drive so you can boot to different OS's. Sounds like it might be fun to play with. ..... Ray

NOTE: PowerQuest says there program "PartitionMagic" does NOT support Windows ME at this time.
