The computers in the labs at school are running WIN 95 and IE5.00.2919.6307.

whenever media player runs the broswer windows are filled with tightly packed, narrow vertical blue lines. Also, the body of the media player is packed with similar black lines. The area surronding the icons of running programs in the task bar is filled with these black lines as well.... just the area around the icons. The sliders for the windows fill with black lines too. I thought I would ask you guys before I tried to find anyone here(at school). Doubt that there is anything I can change, but maybe I can give someone here an idea. It is really annoying because web pages are unviewable after this occurs. The window needs to be closed and IE restarted, sometimes this solves it and sometimes it doesn't. Any ideas? No idea as to what hardware is running here. The box says dell dimension xps t700r.

i've had a similar problem on my system.

setup:
Super 7 mobo (vp/mvp3 chipset)
Marvel G400 AGP
AMD Cpu

If it is a Super 7 system, then it is probaly becuase you need to install some file from the mainboard driver disc - normally called AGP.VXD

that helped for me.

One of my friends bought a G400, and had a super 7 mobo.

When he installed it, rebooted, black screen.

Then he sold the G400.... and one month after, i asked if he had loaded that file.

Let's just say he yelled a lot...
