I have a computer with a motherboard with an ATX V1.2 form factor, Labled as Micro ATX. Am I going to have to get a new case for motherboard replacement? I see everything labeled as ATX or other but no micro atx, is this the same as baby atx?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

mATX does exist, check with vendors focussed on OEM business like ECS, PC-Chips, Chaintech, MSI, ...
Careful though, today's boards need strong power supplies and higher standby current than what ATX 1.x standard asked for - and the back faceplate layout has also changed more than once.

Maybe...
Some cases can accept various forms, such as combinations of ATX / Micro ATX, and ATX / Baby AT. The OEM cases were usually single form specific. If your unsure take it to a local pc shop for advice. Peter is giving the best advise though, if your planning on upgrading with today's mobo's, get a new case with a better P/S rated for the board in mind.

Here's a web site that gives detailed information comparing the AT, Baby AT, ATX, and Micro ATX form factors, including drawings that show the shape and mounting hole locations that each form factor is supposed to follow:

I did CAD drawings of the form factors, like the ones at Chris Hare's erols site, only neater and to scale, with the dimensions to sample board edges given in the Intel spec, and with the full set of holes shown as a grey background to make it easier to see the relationships between the different form factors.
I sent the drawings to Chris, as PDF files. Maybe he'll incorporate them into his site. In the meantime, if anyone wants them, I'd be happy to e-mail them. jan1550@yahoo.com
