I am trying to create a Ghost boot disk. I spoke to Symantec and they could not solve the problem,
anyway I want create a peer to peer boot disk. It seems that the mobo ECS does not provide enough memory in dos to run this application. Is there any way to alter the memory allocation for the boot disk to run. The problem is not solved. Maybe there is a program that can do it, changing dos memory allocation. Can it be done in the bios??

I don't know what the requirements for running Ghost in DOS, but I can help you with memory management.
Assuming your Windows directory is "C:\Windows", write these lines in "config.sys" file on the floppy :

device=c:\windows\himem.sys
device=c:\windows\emm386.exe ram
dos=high,umb
buffershigh=20
fileshigh=30

Hope it'll help ...

Best Regards ...

Will try this tonight and see if will work. Have tried a similar, config and it did not work, that config was a little different, and I will try it on dos disk.
