A couple days ago I posted a question about using a USB adapter for a paralel printer port on my new laptop that only has USB ports. I bought the adaptor and it works just fine. How do I connect my scanner to my laptop USB port now? I thought I would be able to connect the USB adapter to the scanner the same way it is connected now with the paralel port cables. But I've found that the ports on a printer and a scanner are not the same thing. Does this mean I have to buy two seperate cables to use these things???
