I want to upgrade my mobo but I dont want to change or reformat my HDD. The upgrade will be a FIC AD-11 mobo and thunderbird processor(1.2) W/DDR memory. Is this possible?:) :D

You will need to find out the chip set that you are using now on your motherboard and try to find one with the same chipset. Then when you upgrade it should detect your new hardware and you don't need to format.

If you choose a different chipset from Intel to VIA then you will need to install the via drivers which is not too bad.

It might be possible, depending on what you're upgrading from (as suggested above). However, it's probably not a good idea, even if you can get it to work. Your performance may not be optimal, and some problems or 'bugs' might crop up. Better to do a clean install after the upgrade.
