I was just wondering what is the differance between atx and micro atx motherboards because im buying a pc chips 810 mobo and its my first time build and i don't understand wot the differance is.

Well, Micro ATX is just a regular ATX board with a small surface area, but it is really the same thing. It is typically used in the really small computers. But it will fit in any ATX case.

mATX form factor is physically shorter, allowing only four slot positions instead of the seven on full size ATX.

And initially the mATX case specification asked for a 150 Watt power supply unit, but that has long been ditched to supply Athlon, Duron and P4 with adequate power even on small mainboards.
