Hello Friends,
I am using win ME as my OS. I want to switch over to Win2kPro. But before doing that i want to work in that enviroment and test it according to my needs.
Well i want to create a dual boot system between Win ME and Win2kPro. What will i have to do for this. I donot want to change any partition form FAT32 to NTFS. Is it posible to install Win2K on FAT32. All the application which i use on WinMe should work on Win2K What will i have to do for this. How can i run same application on the both OS's.
Please tell me the whole prcedure for creating dual booting system between Win2K and WinME. I have four partitions c: 8GB, d: 6GB, e:5GB, f: 350MB(Swap file).

Just install 2k onto a separate partition. The dual boot will take care of itelf. Then install the apps you want to test into the 2k installation.

98 and me are considered the same operating system so they don't get along easily in a dual-boot, you should have no problem as long as you have only one 9x OS then install 2k to another partition as mentioned earlier as fat32 and you'll get your boot menu as well. Just make sure your 9x OS is scandisked and defragged before you do and the partition you use for 2k is freshly formatted.

I would ditch the WinME all together. It really is the worst OS ever! (in my experience). I would format the disk and do a clean install of Win2000. It gives you the option of FAT32 or NTFS.

Wanna clear some last min doubts. I have downloaded the driver for Win2K. I cannot found for my SB PCI 64 Soundcard. I think it may be provided with the OS (WinME have it).
I wnat to clear 1) Will my games(NFS:HS, USAF, CESAR 3, FlightSimulator2000 etc) will work on Win2K. 2) Is Win 2K fater and stable than WinME? 3) From where should i install Win2K form WinME or Win2K?
