Windows explorer list view?

For the life of me I simply can't find how you switch the default view for all folders to 'List' or 'Details' from the present setting 'Folder'. When I change the setting it only applies to the current folder, how do you carry this over. It seems like such a simple operation I would have thought Control Panel's Folder options would have been where this is set. Put me out of my misery!

Which OS are you using?

In WinME, you change one folder to the fire you want. Click on Tools->Folder Views->View->Reset ALL folders
