I put this on the cpu and overclocking forum but with no replies,maybe I can get some help here.
I have the asus a7pro mb. I have a new 1.2 tb cpu,it was unlocked, I set the multiplyer on 12.5 and started up and it does 1300. I can increase the fsb and go up to 108 before a lock up,I think it's at 1429 then. this is my fourth cpu on this board, all overclocked,,but can not get past 110 on fsb with any of them. I have creative s/c , savage v/c , and use kingston value ram,,have run it as high as 150 w/o a problem,,is it the mb that is holding me back or what. Ran test on cpu and it will internal clock at 1.74, but I can not get close to it. Just experimenting,,trying to learn. Any help or advice greatly appreciated.
