When trying to load an old application from my floppy, I keep getting the "Insufficient Memory " error. Floppy drive is OK. Any ideas? thanx in advance,

This was a famous problem with Win 3.1, you are not running that are you?;)

Muchmark: Neglected to mention: Running 98SE
I've seen this problem mentioned all over but never paid much attention, as I figured it would never happen to me! It's always something...

Type Mem /a/c/p

at the run line. What is your "largest executable program size"? If it's below 600000, it could easily be improved.

Bflurie: It tells me my largest .exe to be 601k . I'm trying to install a much larger app. Also says:

Largest free upper mem block = 0
Avail space in High Mem area = 464k
'ms-Dos is resident in high memory area'

What's the "Magic Path" to follow now? I've still got that Hammer handy in case it doesn't work..

I would check the BIOS setting to make sure floppy is set to 1.44 MB and not 1.2 MB.

Muchmark: Nope, that didn't do it. Bios ok. Even tried the 2.44 setting. Wondering if the floppies are corrupted. I knowI am... Thanx,
