yo what do you guys think is the best FREE compiler for C and C++?

right now i use DevC++4 and i love it, try it and tell me what yalls think of it, btw is there any 'shareware' version of MS Visual C++? or is that like too expensive to just give out for a trial?

I don't think there is any trial version of Visual C++, but you can pick up a Borland C++ 5.5 Compiler, that was the only one I used before I got Visual C++.
