I'm interested to know if anyone here is actually running WinME, 64MB, & low processor, such as a P150 (required minimum), or even a P133, or P100.
Would it be any worse than what I have already running Win98, 64MB, and a P133?

I think that would be worse than '98.

I can't really say about how the OS will behave, but the Media Player is a bit of a rip-off of WinAmp - it has the pretty-looking visuals which eat CPU power, so you might want to consider removing it and installing a non-visual older version http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Check www.98lite.net (http://www.98lite.net) , maybe they can do the trick.

ran ME on a test machine. pent166 with 32mb ram. even slower than98, added 16mb ram, and then it ran about the same as win98. Be aware that system restore runs in the background, and when i copied 600 mb of info from my personal drivers cd, the hard drive ran a full five minutes after all the copying was done, and i noticed the system restore file was 250 mb bigger after that(this was on a tbird 800)

I have tried installing it on a P133 w/ 72MB, but WinME noticed that the processor was too slow, and wouldn't let me install it. The only thing that I don't understand is that I was able to install Win2k on it with no problem. I bet there is a way around this problem, but it probably isn't worth it.

Davage, isn't Win98lite just Windows 98 with/O Internet support (no internet explorer and stuff).I guess that wouldn't help very much if you want to surf the web with it.

There are switches that can be run with the setup command that will disable the cpu limit of ME
setup /nm
or setup/nm one or the other
read here for more switches http://www.windows-help.net/windowsMe/install4.shtml
