home users spend twice if not three times the amount of money than business users do on pc's

It's irrelevant not due to the cost but due to the useability and need.

No desktop computer has enough bandwidth for 320MB/s over the PCI bus, and even if it did, there's hardly any need for anyone to use them.

Large RAID5 arrays are obviously going to use it.

the faster you get that swap file from your hard drive and into memory the better. i would never go back to ide.

and who would not love having a raid 5 in his or hers computers ..... I know i'd love the redundancy & the space .....
