I am looking for a good replacement for an Adaptect FSCSI AVA-1502. Any suggestions?

What is the reason for the replacement?

Is the current card inadequate for your needs?

I just need to know what you will be using it for before I can make a reccomendation.. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

My guess is it's for a Zip SCSI external or a scanner. Am I right?

I am replacing a card that appears to be going south. The card currently controls a 5 CD jukebox on a Compaq Prosignia which is being used as an NT 4.0 server. Hope this helps. Thanks in advance.

Do you like the adaptec card?

Adaptec is the best SCSI card manufacturer IMHO. The 1502 is commonly used for cd-roms and scanners, such as the setup you have.

This may seem like an overly simple solution, but why not just replace the card with the same model? (unless it somehow does not meet your needs anymore?)

Look at the Tekram cards. In my experience they are as good if not better than adaptec but lighter on the wallet.

I've got a new AVA-1502 for sale at User-to-User: http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/Forum13/HTML/001816.html
Just to confirm, its an ISA card with 25 pin SCSI connector.
