I was trying out different video drivers for CREATIVE TNT video card, and now Im stuck with 16 colors.I cant install another driver.I get different error boxes saying display adapter not configured properly. Also when computer loads it loads a pci adapter(driver),Even after I install new drivers...I think it could be loading one of the previous drivers I loaded.Device manager + shows conflict. My computer normally uses agp for display adapter(drivers). It also pops up with a looking for a file box sometimes when it loads.
Does anyone know how too get rid of previous drivers, and load new one on???...I tried getting rid of previous drivers, but not sure if I rid them all.Creative labs site didnt help me.

OS:ASUS P2l97 AGP INTEL CELERON 533,,64 ram,
VIDEO CARD:Creative Labs riva tnt 16
Driver: tntaw9x (AGP) is the one i was using, but when i reboot it automatically installs a pci vga compatible display adapter, and I cant change it.
Go to www.guru3d.com and get the "Detonator Destroyer."

Go to the display properties. Goto Advance>adapter. Click change and select standard PCI VGA adapter. After installing restart windows. Now insert the driver CD if you have or if you have backup of the original driver. Repeat the same procdure but now selecting the right driver.
Note: - incase you r recieving error before doing the abve procedure like wrong display then goto safe mode and in display properties click apply it will show you a long warning click yes go back to normal mode install Standard PCI VGA then again install the correct driver.

Thanks for the support
I tried the detonator destroyer several times, but it didnt help.I still got the message that says insert disk...........
When computer loads up it loads new driver(pci vga compatible driver),BUT it has a exclamation mark on it.
Then when I go To display, settings, advanced, adapter IT says its a graphics blaster riva tnt,AND when I try too change it theres no choice for standard pci vga adapter.
Im not sure how too do the safemode instructions though. Can you explain it again.
Thanks again for the support!!

go into safe mode (press and hold the F8 key while you are starting the computer, just before you see the starting windows logo) and select safe mode from the start up menu.
go to device manger and u may probably find more than one display adaptor listed there.
delete them all then restart the system and use the Cd that came with the video card to reinstall the driver. if u get msg to insert the nvidia driver, cacel out of them.
if the driver on the CD does not help, try the latest nvidia driver from nvidia.com
