Where besides config.sys and tweak ui can you change the maximum number of drive letters windows 98 SE can display. The reason for this question is that i added another cdrom as slave to my cdwriter, but in windows the cdrom doesn't have a drive letter, eventhough it is detected in devicemanager.:(

Try you win.ini and system.ini files. They will do that for windows98, I believe.

I have already tried looking in the ini files but can't find anything about drive letters.

Some more suggestions would be welcome.

I found the problem, it seems that there is a key in the registry that controles the available drive letters. So after editing that key my problem was solved.
