I hate it!!!!!!!!

Yet MS has decided to force it down on us. There is no option to uninstall MP7...nor is there the option not to install it. Sure you can decide to install MP6, just not 7.

This is stupid.

I know this is being worked on over at www.98lite.net (http://www.98lite.net) but I don't want to spend money to kill this parasite. So has anyone else come across a way to remove it?

The best you can do now, is not use it.

If you want it to look and act like the older version, just choose the Classic skin. You wont be able to tell the difference.

If you don't want it opening certain file types, disassociate the files. ...Or all of them.

don't use it at all. The old media player is still installed so do a search for mplayer2.exe and make it your default player, or even better copy it where the new player is and rename it to the name of the new player. Anyprogram trying to access the new player it will be fooled and use the old one. That's what I've done. I'd tell you exact names and locations of the files but I am at work now and my Ultra5 only runs Solaris http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
