hmm i have two sticks of pc100 memory in one my systems one is a 64mb piece and the other 128mb the question is what is the best config for there is it my current setup of
DIMM 1 64mb
DIMM 2 128mb
or should i put it the other way or does it even matter howe they are seated on the mobo

I think u should have it the other way..cuz biggest DIMM's are supposta go in the first bank, and next big in next and so on.

ive tried it but the 64mb piece dont fit in the second dimm

AuraEdge has it right, but why doesn't the 64 fit? It should be able to pop right in there.
Unless your motherboard manual specifies that certain modules need to be in a particular Dimm slot, it does not matter what slot you put them in, the performance will be the same.

i had the same probb on one of my other comps it wont fit they are exactly the same kind of memory so that cant be the probblem

168 pin sticks of ram isnt the easyiest thing to clip down to the DIMM's
I bet it does fit...Unless they are physically different sizes. DOnt force it in so much that you break the stick (dont want that to happen)
Just try to match the catches with the notchs on the stick of ram..
Cuz if they both fit in the first DIMM then they should also both fit in the second DIMM
