Do I need an MPEG hardware card?

I'm thinking of buying a DVD drive but do I need an MPEG hardware card as well?

My graphics card is an nVidia TNT2 M64 32meg...will that do the same job?

that will depend on your cpu speed if you have 350 mhz or faster it will run just fine without one
