ok, this is a little complicated, as my system is a bit cobbled together...

i have a k6-2 35MHZ with 64MB on a Asus P5-B motherboard. i am running win95OSR2 in fat16 mode.
i currently have 2 hard disks (1.4gb and 3.2gb i think) which are partitioned into 4 drives of about 1 GB each. still with me?
and i have windows installed on my D drive because after it crashed a year ago i just couldn't get it to re-install on my C drive.

basically, i wan't to get a decent sized hard drive, 10-15gb probably, but i am not sure about the following things:

(A) how big drives/partitions will OSR2 support. will i have to change to FAT32 to support a drive that big? will this mess anything up?

(B) will the fact i have programmes installed on different drives mean i have to keep them on the same drives (c:, d:,etc..) for windows to still be able to find them? or can i just consolidate them all onto one drive?

(c) if i can consolidate everything onto one drive without messing everthing up, will it have to be the D: drive, because that is were windows is currently held?

i hope that is slightly clear...any help would be appreciated.

tom

ps/ i am also going to upgrade my processor/memory fairly soon, but wanted to get this out of the way first. but the new processor k6-2+ will mean i need to change to either win98 or winME.

if I were you I would do a clean install of windows on the new hhd as it will run faster than the old one's you have now and use the 3.2 for your files and stuff it will make things run a lot smoother for sure
