Hi friends:

I've instaled this morning my new Chaintech GeForce 2 MX 400 64 MB and I have now many problems on my system.

1.- System boot is too slow.
2.- Screen refresh on start (with MSDos) is very, very bad.
3.- When W98 SE is finally on, appears a yellow-green zone in windows, just where scroll-arrows are. And the mouse is like this zone.
4.- System crashes easily, so many times.

I don't remember now much more problems, but I'm sure there are there.

My system:

MOBO QDI Legend V
Chipset Intel 440 LX; Pentium II 233 Mhz
192 MB RAM; 2,3 GB HDD
Windows 98 SE; Direct X 8.0a

Please help. :(

HouHouHou,
ur System is to slow!Upgrade your Bios first, afterwards Install the newest Detonator.Sell ur CPU and buy ay new One:D
Bios Settings should be:CPU Speed on Bootup=Fast/Init Display first AGP/Spread Color=No/AGP4x(if it doesnt Works try2x)/FastWrites=Disable/ShareMemory=64MB or half from ur Ram/AssignIRQtoVGA=Yes/Dont share IRQ with PCI slots!!!
Install newest Mobo drivers(AGP Gart drivers are highly recommend)

If all those steps want work(your CPU is just much to slow for GF2!!!Youllneed at least 350MHz better500MHz!!!and 128MB Ram)
Re-Install Win!

GoodLuck

Thank you Disruptor. I would try to do what you say to fix my problems.

Do you think the Detonator driver is best than Chaintech originals?

Thank you at all. I'll add progressions.:)

First try upgrading your BIOS for both your video card and your motherboard.

Then try upgrading the drivers; both motherboard and video card.

If the chaintech drivers give you problem, try the Detonators from www.nvidia.com.

Hope it helps. :)
