The computer hangs when playing 3d games, or running 3dMark...
The 3dfix (regkey) is installed.'

running:
asus a7m266
athlon tb1400
geforce2pro

please help.. out of ideas

also the graphics is flickering all the time...

Can you give us some history? Is this a new/used card that you just installed? Did you have a pci card in and it ran ok? Have you downloaded the latest drivers for the card?

not sure,but when i turned my graphics card from 2x too 1x it fixed my lockups.

Its a clean install of win 2K
Ive installed all latest drivers (i think), all that I could find... :-)
Its a new graphicscard.

Hey,

I think I can help. You need to patch the registry. If I'm right, that board has a via chipset and there is a little difficulty with AGP support and win2k. If the CD that came with your mobo doesn't have a patch ready, try the manufacturer website or you can try it by hand with this explanantion.
