I want to know which you think is the best video card under $100. Don't forget to include why you think your choice is the best. Please keep gaming in mind when you make your choice. I look forward to seeing what you all think.

The best video card under $100 has to be the Voodoo 2 or Voodoo 3.
These cards are very good at performance and even better with their price.

I have to disagree ; I think I'd go with either a GeForce2 MX400
64MB or ATI Radeon 64Mb,both of which can be had for about
$70 + shipping.

How can you say the vooodoo 2 or voodoo 3? They are not good anymore for today's games - max payne. You can get a geforce 2 pro 64 mb ddr for around $100 cheapest. And not only that! You got the choice of a true radeon ddr 32 mb for $67 at newegg. ANd not only that, u can get a geforce 2 gts 32 mb ddr, geforce 2 mx 200(which is ****), geforce 2 mx or mx 400 32 mb or 64 mb, the kyro 2, the kyro xt, and not to forget the radeon le, the radeon sdr, the radeon 7200 w/64 mb sdr. But i believe the best choice for you is to get a geforce 2 mx 400 64 mb for around $50 or $60 on pricewatch.

I have to agree with Jeffy. A voodoo2 or 3 would have been alright maybe 2 years ago. Voodoo5's can be had for less than $100, but I wouldn't recommend them either and I have one that works great! A geforce2 mx400, 32mb GTS, 64mb GTS, something from the kyro line, or something from the ATI Radeon line would all be good choices.

VooDoo2??? Are you kidding??? Thats not even an AGP card... The VooDoo2 was the most powerfull card IN ITS TIME, but that was like 4 years ago. Hell, you can get a TNT2 Ultra for like $30-$40 which will easily blow away a VooDoo2 card.

I don't want a Voodoo for sure. I have a Voodoo 5500 laying around...but it sucks. I was thinking either ATI or nVidia. I really want something with good driver support (I have Windows XP). Tell me about Radeon...I don't know a lot about them. Or how about just a GeForce2 MX400?

I would agree that the gf 2mx 400 64mb, the cheapest on pricewatch is the most suitable for your needs. It is the best value currently considering performance/cost.

For $100.00 bucks or less, you can get a GF2MX..... That would be my choice. The Voodoo 3 2000 AGP was a nice card. Have one and still use it in my second PC. But since the CPU upgrade I would like to upgrade my video to a GF2/GF3.
Got a Voodoo 3 2000 AGP 4/sale. Check out the BUYERS/TRADERS forum.
