does anybody have any news on the new 8x agp slot? and, would my 4x agp card work on this new 8x agp slot? and, what are the specifications?

is this ay joke????Never heard of such ay standard.
but dont worry, if 1x/2x/4x is compatible 8x/4x shurely is, too.

Well If any thing like this is made it must be compatible from the oder cards.

I actually heard something about them a while ago. Not a terrible need for them though. We're still a ways from being able to need to transfer that much data that quickly. I'm sure your 4x card will work. Almost everything now adays are backward complient.

I wouldn't worry too much about it right now. Companies are always talking about technology years away down the road. How long has intel been talking about the itanium, AMD the sledgehammer, IBM bluetooth (which is kinda out), NVIDIA (pick any product - they are were talked about well in advance). You get the point. I would let it effect my buying habits
