It is akward to use at first, and I haven't really tried it that much, but I just don't really like the layout of it.....

Seems a bit rough around the edges and yes, the layout does get some getting used to but it is pretty fast.

I just can't get myself to pay for a browser no matter how fast.

Have you tried Mozilla?
it's the engine of Netscape but is much better and looks cool too (has different skins and sh*t). Has all the cool features (auto complete etc) and is much faster than anything I've used.

I'd be willing to try it if it has 128-bit encryption (for online banking, transactions, etc.), which I doubt that it does.

i use opera all the time, have been for a year or so now. i find it to be alot faster than other browsers i use. works fine for me!
