Dear friends,
I'm in a problem, probably you would have solution for it. well, I'll furnish my problem...

I have Award BIOS 4.5x PG, which has no external CMOS battery. By mistake, the other day I have set up system password and I forgot it. Now, I'm unable work in my PC. I tried some master passwords, and those are not working. To try with some available tools for killing the password, I'm not even able to go inside the OS after POST occurred.

If any one knows the solution for this... Pl.. Pl... reply me.

Thanks in advance.

If the battery isn't accessible, then your only recourse is to check the MB's documentation to see where the "Clear CMOS" jumper is located. Typically you'll bridge a couple pins for ~five seconds; obviously everything will be restored to default values and you may or may not have some grief getting the machine to come up the first time while recognizing your system configuration.

I think that older 4.5, for example, will require you to manually find/identify the hard drives. Not a big deal, but just be aware that manual actions will be required after you clear the CMOS.
