I just got a VisionTek GeForce2 Ti 64MB DDR AGP card and Im having major problems. I installed the drivers and when it enters the windows desktop, the monitor goes dead (orange light). It only works in 16 color mode, otherwise it goes to no display.
System Specs:
Biostar M6TBA ATX Mobo
i440BX Chipset
PIII 500 (Slot1 Katmai)
235W Power Supply
Any help here would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks.

Update--
For some odd reason, when the GeForce is inserted, the FSB jumps from 100 to 103Mhz, there by jumping the CPU from 500 to 515MHz, AGP host from 66 to 69MHz...
When I put the S3 Savage4 in, it goes back to 500MHz. But when I had a Raedon VE in there, it was at 515MHz also and the Raedon worked fine. This is wierd. Is it possible that the Ti is more picky about the AGP host clock than the Raedon? Regardless, why would a different Graphics board change my FSB? This is very wierd. Any ideas?

I think whats happening is the video card is trying to use a refresh rate not supported by the monitor, try setting the refresh rate manualy
FSB changes coz of refresh rate ?! :) LOL
Can't really help you, but it's NOT the case here. I'd check the mobo and PSU.

The monitor is brand new, plus I tried it on two others. I finally gave up and returned it. I got a Raedon 64MB DDR VIVO and it works beautifully. The machine runs 515MHz with this one too. I wonder why that is. Maybe it has something to do with the three cards that boost FSB are 4x and the one that doesn't (The S3 Savage4 that came with it) is a 2x AGP...The board only goes to 2x...I dunno, but it works now, and I'm definately not gonna complain about 15 extra MHz. Thanks.
BTW VisionTek Tech Support still hasn't emailed me back yet.
