Can anyone out there point me at a great deal on an Adaptec 2940u2w scsi controller card? New or used (must be working).

I'll also consider any reasonable alternative--just don't know much about other brands.

Try Pricewatch, under the catagory I/O click on "Controllers" then on "Ultra2". The cheapest Adaptec 2940U2W I saw was $188, My personal preference is Adaptec also. http://www.pricewatch.com/

I have a Mylex RAID SCSI controller that I will let go for 1/3 that $188.00 price. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif I have all the manuals and install disks that came with it. It is a DAC960PL PCI RAID Controller. Email me or post reply if you would like to discuss it as an option for you.
