4 beeps after power up, cant boot?

I have a HP 4533 minitower,450 mhz and alls I did different was swapped the cdrom drive and now there is nothing? I should mention the first time I started it today it actually booted up to the desktop, however when I clicked on control panel I got 4 beeps and then nothing.

I have pulled out the RAM a few times and swapped it to see if that could be the problem, no luck there.

Any Ideas will be appretiated.

Hmmm, well at this point I think I would go back to the basics...only the video card connected. Remove all other cards and see what happens. If it now boots, add one item back at a time...especially that cd rom you changed. Most times when a failure occurs after a change or addition, thats the first place to look for problems.

pull that drive out and look at the pins where you plugged the IDE cable in and make sure none of them are pushed in.

This has happened to me on two seperate occaisions and caused all kinds strange problems.
