Ok, I am going to build a new comp with a KG7 mobo and an Athlon 1.4 GHz, 266FSB processor. but I dont know what video card to get. I want something that will work good with Counter-strike, The new Wolfenstein game coming out and those kind of games. but I need it to be in teh 100 dollar price range no more if possible.
So if someone can like tell me a card they have and the web site they got it from and if it works well I will be a happy person.
Thanks

First off, I'd like to say that if your name refers to the metal/hardcore band Living Sacrifice, I am a looooong time fan. So I like you already.
I would suggest searching pricegrabber. http://www.pricegrabber.com
If you do not care whether your card is retail boxed or OEM, the OEM products are cheaper. You will still get a brand new part, just no extensive warranty or a pretty box. No worry, if it breaks, just get another OEM one and you still got more for your money.
I recommend a GeForce 2 (I own one.) Another possibility is ATI Radeon, but I prefer the GeForce 2. There are many models: the GTS/Pro, MX200, and MX400 --- now there are also the "platinum" series.
First, go to nVidia (http://www.nvidia.com) and find out which card looks good to you. If you have no clue, skip this.
Second, go to PriceGrabber (http://www.pricegrabber.com) and search for the product. For instance, if you are looking to buy a GeForce 2 MX400, try searching "MX400." If you are looking for whiteboxed (OEM) new products, try "MX400 OEM."
Not knowing your technical knowledge, I hope this reply suits your needs, and is neither over your head or playing you for a fool. :)

Ok buddy Ill list the card along with a "general" price My top choice is on Top btw
Geforce 2 Ti 99.99 (More than likley will oc to Ultra spec)
Ati Radeon 7200 99.99 (Rebaged Radeon 64 MB DDR)
SiS 315 64-MB 55.00 (Performs as well as MX400 but way cheap)
Geforce 2 GTS 70.00 (saw em dirt cheap at ubid.com but may vary
Radeon LE 32-MB 65.00(May be rare now)
Geforce 2 MX 400 75.00 (Will be cheaper in a month)
Geforce 2 MX original 60.00 (Why? Performs as well as MX400)
Geforce 256 DDR 32-MB 35.00(OLD CARD but has t&l )
Geforce 256 SDR 32-MB 30.00 (OLD/SLOW but has t&l)
Geforce MX200 32-MB 55.00 (NEW/SLOW but has t&l)
TNT 2 ULTRA 32 MB 30.00 (Im having to much fun..memories)
Voodoo 5 5500 64 MB 90.00 (nice compadability with old games)
Voodoo 4 4500 32 MB 60.00 (same but crapier)
My advice? Pick up either an SiS 315 vid card or a Geforce 2 GTS and save your pennies and Pick up a Geforce 3 Ti 200 in 2 months for $150 or get the Best Vid card in the near future the Radeon 8500 for $250. Either way you buy a good card now and get an awsome one latter.
:D
