Hi,
I was just wandering what times people were getting with there boot up and what o/s and amount of ram you are using when getting these times.

well,,,using a p233mmx,award bios 4.51, i430vx chipset, 64megs, win98 first edtion,boot drive is a wd caviar ac2200 5200rpm, 2 year old install, still boots in under 60 seconds, start up programs are resource meter, cpu idle and zonealarm,although with a fresh install of win98 under the same hard/software environment, my boot time would probably be halved or close to it,

W95 OSR2, AMDK6-2 366MHz, Amptron PM9100 Mobo, 128 MB SDRAM, 55 seconds hard reboot, 23 seconds soft reboot.

Compaq Deskpro 2000, 133mghz, 80 megs ram, 2.5 Maxtor..... Win98 loads in about 1.5 minutes w/ lots of **** in the start up.... 1 minute with all the start ups diabled.

Celeron 466@582 MHz, WinME, 64MB, Maxtor UDMA66, 56s cold boot, 47s warm.
Startups: Rain, Virtual Drive, M/B Monitor.
