More accurate x-ray machine is available for $60,000 for baggage does not seem like that high a price if it will save lives (hind sight being twenty-twenty) But I still cannot believe that only 1 out of 10 cargo luggage is scanned at airports, only carry on is scanned.

I'll trust the dogs over the scanners anyday. More dogs! More dogs! Without explosives on the plane an lot can be done to prevent problems related to weapons even if they get on the plane. It's hard to do anything about explosives after they're on the plane.
