I do know that I just clocked my cable modem at over 3 MBps avg! 6+ Mbps peak ! I think I am happy with what I have for now ;)

Hard to say... different providers have different speeds. You're going to have to ask the providers in your area. I know that wireless potentially can be as fast as cable, which in turn potentially is faster than ADSL, but there are probably more exceptions to this than there are normalities. Anyhow, the main drawback to wireless is the relative lack of providers. If you've already found one operating in your area, then you're going to have to ask the ISP.
