What is a good program to creat graphics with? I stupidly told a friend I'd create something for him and his band. The problem is I can't find a prgoram to do what I need to make. I need somethign that I can insert other pictures into it and do things like make letters that look like clouds...
I have paint shop pro but that doesn't seem to be doign the hwole trick for me
Any help is very greatly appreciated,
danke
You can definetly make what you're trying to make with Paint Shop Pro. (I've used that program before) Such as Magic Wand, Lasso, Paint Brush, Air Brush, Gradient tools, etc. More importantly, it also let's you work in layers on the images which gives you greater control over your images rather than working with flat images. Just take some time to read a book on JASC Paint Shop Pro.
Paint Shop Pro offers many of the features that Adobe PhotoShop offers for about 5 times less the price. But if you really want to make something with more precise control over your image result, definetly go with Adobe Photoshop. The bad part about Photoshop is (1) The Steep Price (2) It takes some time to get to know the program. But once you get to know PhotoShop, just about anything is possible to make.
Here is a sample that I made that took me less than 5 minutes to make:

PSP is ok, but Photo Impact is better http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif. It's MUCH easier to learn. Everything just makes more sense.

I use Paint Shop Pro and I haven't bought it (God blesses the person who invented the Keygenerator) http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif .Although I never tried to make something like this before,I did it and it took me about an hour, next time will take about 10 minuts.

I made one thing before with it (which also took quite a while, but would take much less a second time):

I think I did a nice job on it (it originally was a mac with aquarium, and I putted a picture of a hamster in it and glued a heatsink on the hamster's back).
It takes some time to try out different things, but after a few hours you begin to get the hang of it.

I have just ordered the new Version 7 of PSP. It contains some new one button features for beginners. I have used PSP for three years now and somehow the program and its instructions are difficult for me. I can usually work programs from intuition but not this one. So I am looking forward to the new "user friendly version". I also contains some advanced features.

Barney, I can't get your pictures. Does your server allow links from outside websites?
