hi,
please help me with adsl configuration
i configured everything: tcp/ip, dns, gateway, local ip, etc
i linked the tcp/ip protocol with the net board (is this right?) and all was ok since 2 weeks ago
i tried to change my resolution to 1024 x 768
(default: 800 x 600) of my video adapter (SiS 6326 with 8 mb ram) and then windows rebooted totally dark. i went to security mode and changed it to 800x600 again. When i was at the security mode it showed sometimes a registry error. The only clickable button was "backup the registry" and i pressed it, then it asked to reboot the machine to complete the register backup, but i did not. When i came back to normal windows my registry was ok.
But i couldnt receive or transfer data to the adsl modem of my computer anymore. I tried to check if the problem was some conflict with the serial ports but i discovered that serial ports have nothing to do whith that.
i want to know what problem is causing that. i reinstalled the drivers.
do you guys have a clue? i have windows 95 and a 512k adsl modem.
thanks.
