Colleagues:
I downloaded MemMonster: a utility which boasts it can recover memory not returned by certain programs, thereby again making it available. Any opinions from those in the know, i.e., who have tried it? I think it's a good program, but am interested in other opinions.
Thx. Brangwen http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

I haven't used it. The ones I use are MemTurbo (only for systems with 128MB RAM or less) and the other systems I use FreeMem.

Thx for your responses. If you feel like it, give MemMonster a go and see what you think. You'll find it at www.magellass.com. (http://www.magellass.com.)

I haven't had the need to use any of those programs to recover memory. That was thing that I noticed about Win9X. They don't fully return the used resource. As for NT4 and Win2K, that hasn't been the story. I used to use RamBooster to recover the resources that were used up by other applications or would end-up rebooting the system to get full recovery. That was one of the many bad things about Win98. Resources get lower and lower the longer you use Win98 without some kind of Memory Recovery program or reboot the system. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif
Doe anyone know if Win ME is the same way?
