Appreciate some assistance.

Have a Gigabyte GA-6BA Mainboard with an AGP slot. However, for the time being, would like to install a video card on a PCI slot instead of on the AGP slot.

Although the AGP video card is the best choice, is it possible to install a PCI video card instead, or will this cause problems?

No, it will be no problem using a PCI video card on an AGP mainboard... Make sure to set the InitDisp feature in the BIOS to PCI if this feature exists in your BIOS...

If I am not mistaken, the first PCI slot under the AGP slot is used for a PCI video card when PCI video is used.

NDC, Bovon,

Thank you for your replies.

Thought that was the case, but wanted to make sure.

Appreciate the extra info. Will check it out.

Have a great week.
