PC BUILD PROBLEM

I want to build a pc from the aria.co.uk combo which includes athlon 1ghz, 128ram, and gigabyte mb. al this is easy to me except the connecting of the processor, fans, heatsink, power supply and thermal compound. COULD N E HELP ME AS I WANT TO A PC SOON.

with all your equipment you will receive a manual for your motherboard - this will show you where all your connections are.
As for cpu and heatsink - go take a look at http:/www.amd.com - it has some very precise instructions on installing duron/athlons.
DO NOT run a Duron or Athlon without a heatsink and fan - they have a VERY short lifespan if you do.

Sysopt has a good article on building a pc, http://www.sysopt.com/buildpc/index.html. It's a little dated, 2 1/2 years but the info still applies to current hardware. Tom's hardware has another good article with a lot of pictures http://www.tomshardware.com/howto/01q1/010115/index.html. There's bound to be more if you run a search. Read up a little, and you shouldn't have any big problems. It helps to have another working pc to download drivers, search the web, and post questions on sysopt. The one thing I'd advise is to be very careful mounting the heatsink on your Athlon, you can damage the core, killing the processor.
