I have a atrend ATA-V931-CXO motherboard, Can you tell me the proper JP7 jumper setting is to use the Pentium 3-700mhz with the following numbers on it.
700/256/100/1.65v
3034A236-0244 SL3XX

I cant figure out what the proper ratio number is.

I have asked a simular question before, thanks to all who helped me narrow it down to this point

MY QUESTION HAS BEEN ANSWERED BY TECK HELP AT RIAS
I thought I would leave this post for anyone else with a simular question. Answer follows.

Your Pentium III 700MHz CPU is based on 100MHz FSB (Front Side Bus), 256KB external cache (in CPU), 1.65V as CPU core voltage, the "700MHz" speed is from "100MHz FSB * 7.0x", the "7.0x" is the ratio setting.
The JP7 on your MB is useless for your 700MHz CPU, it means that no matter how you set the JP7 (e.g. 5.0x or 6.0x or..), your 700MHz CPU will always run at 700MHz speed, it's not the MB's problem, it just the ratio setting of your 700MHz CPU is fixed by Intel, actually all Intel new 1.65V CPU which ratio setting has been fixed by teh Intel.
But if you use Intel old style CPU (2.0V) then you have to set the JP7 correctly, or CPU will run at incorrect speed.

Here's a dumb question for you which deserves a dumb answer. You don't have the Mobo manual?
