well I got one just to be able to use on line phone. has lots of whistles and bells I dont need. and a 40 pg manuel on CD Duh.( id have paid a couple bucks for a printed one) any body know how I can set it so I dont have to unplug the speakers to use the earphones for calls. darn neusance. any other tips appreciated.

Do you use a four speaker setup?

The sound blaster Live series has support for a front and rear channel..

Plug your main speakers into the front jack, and your headphones into the rear..

Whenever you want to enable output to your headphones just enable the four speaker output...

Non 3D-positional audio will always come out of both the front and rear jacks.


just an idea.. not sure how it will work in practice..

thanks. this works, , have sw for the speakers. just have to be careful with the hot mike. may rig a sw. on it.
