Is there a way to automatically connect upon startup of windows. Like in some fashion have it setup using task manager or something. Just wondering because I use the internet so often whenever I use my computer it would be nice and easy to have it connect upon startup. Thanks for any info.

What do you mean by auto-connect? DSL is always online, if you mean have a Browser pop up in the beginning without having to click on something...Put the Browser into the startup menu under Start/Programs i think. Sorry if this isnt what you meant

I'll assume you have a dynamic IP and connect with the PPPOE protocol.
If your software is NTS Enternet 300 then there are settings you can check off to make this happen - forgot the exact menu option to get them but it's something like tools-settings. If you're using a modified dial-up client like RASPPPOE, then check the box for auto connect and drag a shortcut to the connection into your startup folder.
The exact software Im using to connect is the one my ISP gave me (which is Earthlink) and I do use the PPPOE to connect. Anyone use Earthlink that has set it up to connect upon windows startup?

Get a Linksys DSL router and it will do all that. As soon as windows is loaded I have instant access. I do have to log into windows. Plus the router acts like a firewall. I got it from Buy.com for 124.00. Staples wants 199.00.

That hub sounded nice but it was a little too rich for my blood. I do have a linksys tho buts it more your basic hub abilities with some added extras.
