I thought we wernt so happy with them at this time, arnt we preparing to bomb the **** out of them?---32.5mil in the past few weeks?, sure its a humanitarian effort but come onnnnn...
Seems like we should be looking after our own people right here first...I guess I dont fully understand...

I was told that something like 10,000 taliban troops switched sides to the Northern Resistance in Afganistan. A lot of them supposedly read in the food bags a message from the United States saying that our fight wasn't with the people of Afganistan. We don't want to hurt any of the people of Afganistan. Our fight is with the militant leaders of the Taliban. A buddy said that he heard it on CNN, but i can't find the article.

I don't think that will be the case.

As Kaknight said, our enemy are the Taliban and Bin Laden, not the Afghan people who are and have always been the victims of those in-charge of them.

Of course there will be bombing, but only of selected military sites and training camps.

Nothing large scale like carpet bombing.

You have to remember that the more innocent people die the harder it will be to form and hold together a global alliance against terrorism.

The global campaign hasn't even started, yet its prospects are already meek.

Much of the money is designed to help Afghans survive what is expected to be a brutal winter. Bush said food and medicine can be bought with the money...

Finally the gov't is doing the right thing. Wining the hearts of the people is the first step to weeding out the terrorists that live among them.
