i usually just look for what works in my burner, and everything i use it in. i have used a verbatim disk (came w/ the drive, great brand of disk IMO). right now i am using Memorex Platinum CD-R's, no bad burns on them, and they seem to work good with everything else (colors are light blue, turn to a light green when burned). i have never used any silver bottomed ones, although at school, my computer maintence teacher uses silver bottomed ones on a spindle, no name brand. here is a good reference w/ lots of different links to cd info (http://lnkworld.com/cd.shtml)

Exactly what do you look for in cdrs? I thought that a deep blue color was best. Then I bought some with a silver color.
I have a picky disk changer in my car. I've tried compusa, maxell, imation,(K) hypermedia? (the silver one 700mb) and verbatim. The only one that works is the verbatim. Why?
